The University of Waterloo's main campus at 200 University Ave W is two stops up the ION line from MK Elegance Studio. Board a southbound train at University of Waterloo station, across Ring Road from the Davis Centre, get off at Willis Way on Caroline Street, and you're a five-minute walk from the Luna Aesthetics door at 116 King St S. Door to door, most students make it in about fifteen minutes.

That makes a ten-minute brow shape or a lip wax something you can fit into a gap between lectures, and a lash lift or a facial something for a lighter afternoon. Residents of Ron Eydt Village, UW Place and Claudette Millar Hall are all a short walk from the station, and the Student Privilege — 10% off* on every visit with your student ID — applies from your first appointment.

Questions from locals

How do I get from the University of Waterloo to MK Elegance Studio on the ION?

Board a southbound train at University of Waterloo station on Ring Road, across from the Davis Centre, and ride two stops — about six minutes — to Willis Way on Caroline Street. From there it's a five-minute walk to 116 King St S. On the way back, northbound trains leave from Waterloo Public Square on King St, a couple of minutes from the studio.

Can I get my brows threaded between classes at UW?

Yes, if you have about 45 minutes. Brow threading takes ten minutes and the ION trip is roughly fifteen minutes each way door to door. Book a slot on Jane App so you're not waiting — trains run every ten minutes on weekday daytimes.

Do UW students get a discount at MK Elegance Studio?

Yes — the Student Privilege is 10% off* on every visit; just show your student ID at your appointment. The offer terms are on the Offers page, and you can mention it when you book on Jane App or by text.

When should I book before co-op interviews or grad photos?

Book brows two to three days before so any pinkness has long settled, and a brow tint or lash lift at least a day before so it has 24 hours to set. Around exam season and the start of term the best slots go quickly, so booking a week ahead helps.
