What is brow tint?
A brow tint colours the hairs you already have — including the fine, light ones at the front and tail that disappear on camera. The result is a fuller, more even brow that still looks like hair, not makeup.
Shade is chosen with you in daylight-balanced light: usually one to two shades deeper than your roots for fair or grey brows, and a softer brown-black for very dark hair so the brows don't look painted. - Keep brows dry and away from face wash for 24 hours so the colour sets
- Avoid oil cleansers, micellar water and exfoliants directly on the brows — they fade tint faster
- Skip saunas, steam and swimming for 24 hours

How long does a brow tint last?
The colour on the hair lasts 3–6 weeks. It fades gradually rather than disappearing, and fades faster if you use oil cleansers, retinol or exfoliating acids over your brows, swim often, or have very fair, fine hair. Any tint on the skin underneath is gone within 1–2 days. Most clients rebook every 4–6 weeks, often with threading.
Do I need a patch test before a brow tint?
If you've never had your brows tinted, or you've ever reacted to hair dye, yes — ask for one when you book. A dab of tint goes behind the ear or on the inner elbow and is checked 24–48 hours later. It takes two minutes, and it's the only reliable way to rule out an allergy before tint goes near your eyes.
Will my brows look too dark?
Not if the shade is right, and we'd rather go lighter first. For fair or grey brows we usually go one or two shades deeper than your roots; for dark hair a softer brown-black. Tint is wiped off early if it develops faster than expected. If it still feels strong, it softens noticeably after the first two or three face washes.
Can you tint and thread my brows in the same visit?
Yes — that's the Tinted Elegance Brow Duo: tint plus threading for $43.49 in 35 minutes, or tint plus brow waxing for $45.21. Shaping always comes first so the tint isn't wasted on hairs that are about to be removed, and so the colour defines the final line.
Does a brow tint hurt or sting?
No. You'll feel the cool brush and possibly a slight tingle while the colour develops, which is normal. Burning or itching is not normal — tell us straight away and we'll remove it. That's also why we recommend a patch test before your first tint.
Is the brow tint mixed fresh for each client?
Yes — tint is mixed for your appointment in the shade agreed with you, and applied with clean tools in a private room at MK Elegance Studio. The skin around the brows is cleansed and protected with a barrier cream before colour goes on. If you've reacted to hair dye before, ask for a patch test 24–48 hours ahead.
